Coronavirus Information

Dear Charbonnel et Walker Customers,

With the uncertainty we all face together with the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), I wanted to write to you directly to keep you informed of the steps we are taking here at Charbonnel et Walker to ensure we are prepared, not only for now and today, but tomorrow and the coming weeks and months.

My absolute priorities are the safety of our customers and our staff. From those customers who are shopping in stores and online, to the staff in our factory preparing the chocolates and truffles, to all the teams in our shops and departments stores and to those members of staff within our offices, all of whom are monitoring the situation frequently throughout each and every day so we may respond in the best way possible.

It is of utmost importance that every step of our food chain from deliveries to production, to supply and to service, remains to the highest and most fastidious of standards and in line with Government guidelines.

This is what we are doing:

Food Safety

In the Factory

Highest possible levels of sanitization and protective clothing at all times.

All suppliers and deliveries are filling out a pre-site approval form prior to their visit.

In Our Stores

Food handlers and all staff in our stores and department store business are taking extra measures to ensure our high food handling standards are upheld.

We have stopped all sampling of chocolates and truffles.

The majority of our chocolates and truffles are in pre-packed boxes with tamper seals.

For customers who may wish to order items from our open counters, staff members are wearing gloves and using tongs when providing these services. Our counters will be covered and attended to at all times.

Online

The same strictest of standards applied in our factory and in our stores also applies to our online services and the dedicated teams we have wrapping and sending out each and every order.

Throughout this time, we are relentlessly focused on doing all that we can.

My best wishes,

Galvin Weston

Chairman
